Personal: Preparing my heart for revival

Wednesday, 16 April 2014

If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him! (Luke 11:13). God teaches us that the chief and the best of these gifts is the Holy Spirit, or rather, that in this gift all others are comprised. The Holy Spirit is the first of the Father's gifts, and the one He delights most to bestow. The Holy Spirit is therefore the gift we ought first and chiefly to seek. (Taken from: With Christ in the School of Prayer by Andrew Murray). Father, thank You for giving us Your Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is the most precious gift we can desire.

Breakthrough: Gospel in audio can now reach 80% of the globe’s population

Wednesday, 16 April 2014

The Gospel in audio can now potentially reach 80% of the world's population. Faith comes by Hearing (FCBH) recently added 16 languages to their expanding catalogue of recorded Scripture. Now at 813 languages, these recordings as a whole represent a potential outreach to more than 5.7 billion people in 189 countries. In cooperation with ministry partners around the world, FCBH seeks to make God's Word available to every person in his or her own heart language. (Website: http://www.mnnonline.org/news/potential-global-gospel-reach-climbs-80/, 14/04/2014).Thank and praise God for helping everyone involved in this ministry to achieve these goals. Pray that many people will get the opportunity to listen to the Gospel in their own heart language. Pray that many will accept Jesus as their Lord and Saviour upon hearing the audio Gospel.

Spiritual Awakening: Commemorating the crucifixion of Jesus

Wednesday, 16 April 2014

Easter, or Good Friday, always falls on the Friday before Easter Sunday. Most Christians in the Western world commemorate Good Friday this coming Friday. Please pray for God to touch the hearts and minds of millions of people globally, and give them a renewed realization of the awesome gift of Life in Christ. Ask for many souls to be converted over this weekend when outreaches and dramas are displayed to portray the message of the cross.

Social Justice: Elections in South Africa

Wednesday, 16 April 2014

"Hallowed be Your name" Matthew 6:9 Pray for the name of the Lord Jesus Christ to be honoured and exalted over this nation and in every sector of society. Pray that all forms and interpretations of secularism, humanism and scepticism will be destroyed.
"Your Kingdom Come" Mathew 6: 10 Let us pray together that the outcome of the 2014 elections will advance God's Kingdom in South Africa. Pray for His will to be done in every sector of South African society. Pray that every other kingdom whether human, demonic or occult, ancient or modern, foreign or indigenous, private or public, will give way to the Kingdom of our God, His righteousness and His justice.
"Your will be done" Matt.6:12 It is important to know whom the Lord has chosen to lead South Africa in the next election. Let us pray for clarity of mind and soberness so that people (Christians and non-Christians) will be able to discern whom the Lord has chosen in the season. Let us pray that during the 2014 elections God-fearing leaders will be elected. Ask the Lord for people with integrity and a servant attitude. For the National Assembly 400 members need to be elected. From the national party lists 200 will be elected and the other 200 are elected from provincial party lists in each of the nine provinces.

Salvation for the nations: South Sudan

Wednesday, 16 April 2014

One-third of the population is at severe risk of starvation as they face the worst food shortage in Africa since 1980. The country needs $230 million of aid and they need it now. Basic resources for farming and survival are needed over the next 60 days to avoid this tragedy. Since many people have been driven from their homes due to continuous fighting and great political instability in this newly independent nation, their ability to grow crops has significantly diminished. Towns, agriculture, trade and production of oil have also been disrupted by the conflict within the country. (Website: http://www.24-7prayer.com/blog/2263, 15/04/2014). Pray that funds are provided. Ask God to impress on hearts to give so that lives will not be lost. Pray the news of this danger would be heard throughout the nations so volunteers and donors would step up to help the people of South Sudan. Pray that those who hunger would not only be provided for with physical bread, but that they would hunger for Truth and find the Bread of Life.
